I’m not stating anything genius here, but I’m a Chocoholic and proud of it!
Just to give you an idea of my Chocoholic ways, let me tell you a little about my surroundings.
Let’s start with my car. About 4 years ago, I decided it would be fun to get personalized license plates. I struggled to find an all-encompassing Chocolate-themed name and finally came up with “MsWonka”. And just last week I bought some car window stickers that say “MsWonka.com”, as well a picture of the truffle from my blog! HA!
I also have these four little M&Ms antenna balls laying here and there inside my car. Actually, I have the green M&M one, which is the only “lady” M&M character, tied up and suspended between my heater vents below my dashboard. I don’t dare use these cute little M&Ms as actual antennas since I’m sure they would be stolen within minutes. Or, if I saw one on another car, taking one would cross my mind… but I wouldn’t do it, of course. Besides, if I used them as antennas, they’d also fade pretty fast out in the sun. Even here in the Pacific Northwest. I’ve had these little M&Ms for three years or so and they’re holding up well in the car, sitting in my cup holders or laying on the car seats.
I know, I’m a weirdo! Who cares?
Who says a car is supposed to only have adult things in it anyway? Besides, I keep my car A LOT cleaner than most people do, so that counts for something right?
I have another Chocolate-themed antenna ball in my car to symbolize my Chocolate addiction – a Chocolate-covered strawberry. This one came with a string to hang it from my rearview mirror, so it does just that. I bought this one about the same time as the M&M people and because it hangs near the windshield, most of it is faded now. Perhaps it’s time to get a new one?
Hmmm…
Even my co-workers know I’m a Chocoholic. One gal gave me this bumper sticker a few years ago: If I Must Die, Let It Be DEATH BY CHOCOLATE. I have a magnet holding it onto a shelf over my desk. I have to say though, when the out-of-state corporate guys visit, I take it down (along with our department’s rubber chicken. Seriously, we have a rubber chicken hanging on the wall by our cubicles. HAHAHA!!!) OK, I’m getting off track, but you get the idea…
I LOVE CHOCOLATE!!!
But even though I’m a Chocoholic, I’m pretty picky about the quality of the Chocolate. Believe it or not, I don’t like EVERY Chocolate I come across. You can keep your cheap Chocolates, like Whitman’s, Russell Stover and even See’s Candies. See’s has really gone down the tube in quality for a while now. But, this is just MY opinion.
I like good quality Chocolate, like Godiva or even the Chocolates I bought during my recent Theo Chocolate’s tour. But even among the best of Chocolates I tend to prefer the Dark Chocolates, such as the 70% cacao varieties (but not much darker than that). Until recently, I used to eat only Milk Chocolate. Then one day a co-worker gave me a small square of the 70% Lindt Chocolate.
I was sold. YUM!!!
So now when I try a handful of Nestle’s Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips, I have a hard time getting past what seems like an overly sweet Chocolate taste.
Who would have thought? Me, liking Dark Chocolate! Ms. Sweet Tooth herself. But it happened.
Thank you for listening to my Chocoholic ramblings. Now I need to go find myself a Frango Chocolate Mint before I go to bed. :)

darker chocolates are reported to be more heart healthy, but I still love my milk chocolate too
That’s right. I have grown to prefer Dark Chocolate only recently.
