Have you ever wished you had fresh baked cookies but were too lazy to go out in the kitchen and whip up a batch?
Or you had the energy to make cookies, but didn’t want the entire batch tempting you to eat them all within a 24-hour period?
Well, I’m here to tell you the solution is simple!
Next time you make a batch of your favorite cookies, do the following:
- Roll cookie dough into dough balls
- Freeze dough balls on a cookie sheet or plate for approx. 5 to 7 minutes
- Place a dozen or so of the semi-frozen dough balls in a quart-size freezer bag
- Label the freezer bag with the date and type of cookie dough
That’s it!
Next time you’re in the mood for cookies, simply fire up the oven, take out a bag of your frozen dough balls and bake them right up.
Fresh, warm cookies within minutes!
LESSON LEARNED: Who says you have to bake an entire batch of cookies at once!

That’s really smart. Sometimes I don’t have time to bake what fits in the oven, then clear those off the cookie sheets and bake the rest. Perfect solution. Thanks for the post!
Thanks! I know what you mean about TIME! What is that anyway? Something that’s hard to come by. Glad you stopped by. Have a great day!
